
Papua New Guinea Head of the Delegation for the Pacific Festival of Arts and Culture and the Excutive Director of National Cultural Commission Mr Steven Enomb Kilanda and his team met with the USA Government officials and NGO representatives during the Pacific Festival of Arts and Culture in Hawaii Honolulu regarding the propose Sister City Mou signing with PNG’s main centers.
Susan Redfield, President of Sister Cities of Long Beach met with PNG team led by Steven Enomb Kilanda and his team about the upcoming sister city relationship between Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, and Long Beach, California.
“Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson shares his enthusiasm about building this new partnership” explained Redfield. “Our two cities share many vibrant and positive similarities, like the strength of our cultures, our music, and our ports, as well as issues of concern, like the environmental impact of climate change on our coastal regions in the Pacific,” she added.
“Long Beach eagerly looks forward to the coming months and years as we build and grow this partnership,” said Jun Wallech, Legislative Fellow for Mayor Richardson’s office.
Great opportunity using this flatform to foster relationship with International organisations and with our development partners in the Pacific Region to driver the Arts and Culture industry in Papua New Guinea at the global stage.
