KEROWAGI CULTURAL SHOW RECEIVES A CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION FROM THE NATIONAL CULTURAL COMMISSION

A certificate of recognition was presented to the Kerowagi district show committee as a sign of recognition from the National Cultural Commission for recognizing the Kerowagi cultural show.
Present at the event were the Member for Kerowagi Open, Hon. Francis Suine Kikine; Executive Director of the National Cultural Commission, Mr. Steven Enomb Kilanda; First Secretary to the Member for Kerowagi District, Mr. David Gigman; and the Executive Manager for the Festival, Marketing, and Arts Industry at NCC, Mr. David Taim.
Executive Director of the National Cultural Commission Mr. Steven Enomb Kilanda said, “National Cultural Commission is a small agency. It is hard for our small sector to manage all the cultures in the country. It is important to work with the provincial governments and the district authorities to protect and preserve our culture.
National Cultural Commission is happy to work with the Kerowagi District Development Authority to give such opportunity to the people to express themselves and showcase their culture.”
Mr. Steven Enomb Kilanda emphasized that working together with provincial and district authorities is important for safeguarding the rich cultural heritage of the country.
Hon. Francis Suine Kikine, Member for Kerowagi Open, expressed his gratitude to the National Cultural Commission for providing the Kerowagi District with the opportunity to showcase its culture and receive recognition from the government.
He said, “They have a lot of priorities in the district according to the national outcomes, we are trying to meet the national outcome of the national government to deliver services to the district.
Registering the Kerowagi cultural show with the National Cultural Commission is another milestone achievement for us.”
Hon. Francis Suine Kikine’s acknowledgement of the recognition reflects the district’s dedication to aligning with national priorities and enhancing community engagement through cultural initiatives.
