A BRAND NEW LAPTOP SERVING THE NEED FOR CULTURE ADVOCATE’S

A brand new Lenovo Laptop will now serve the need of Rose Begofa, a Culture advocate and student from Goroka, Eastern Highlands.Rose Begofa hailed from Kerebabi village in Henganofi District has been volunteering using her own resource like Camera and Mobile Phone to take pictures and posts about significant cultural events in her area seeing the need to advocate on importance of preserving, protecting, developing, safeguarding and promoting our cultural heritages.
Through her selfless act of kindness to advocate on culture; the National Cultural Commission (NCC) has taken into consideration her need and has come on board to provide her a brand new Laptop for the outstanding work and contribution to the preservation, protection, development and promotion of cultures.
Presenting on behalf of the National Cultural Commission Executive Director Mr. Steven Enomb Kilanda, Michael Mondo who is the IT Manager when presenting the Laptop acknowledge the work and good initiative undertaken by her to help promote the work of the National Cultural Commission and cultures in this context at the community level. “We are supportive of your work in promoting our culture and helping to advocate on the importance of culture which is embedded in our 10 year cultural policy”, he said.
Rose Begofa appreciate and thankful for the National Cultural Commission for the timely support given with the presentation of the new Laptop. This will help me in doing what I usually do and promote our culture which is slowly dying out. But, with the initiative I am doing, I believe people will come to realize the importance of culture and hold on to their culture, she said.
Now that I have a new Laptop will help me to push for more content and hopefully contribute more in the small things that I am doing, added Mrs Begofa.
